Visiting several clients: choose a work bag by the order you need your documents

Reach for the next set of papers without searching. On a day of client visits, the way you arrange your bag is part of preparing for work.

Begin by separating papers to hand over, documents you receive and personal belongings. Think about the order you need them, not just their total volume, and a suitable shape becomes clearer.

One folder for each client visit

Group each client's documents in a thin folder and separate handouts from your copies. Rather than relying entirely on bag dividers, organize each folder as a complete set to keep the main compartment easy to navigate.

Document sleeves and envelopes extend beyond the paper itself. Measure their thickness too, allowing for extra papers on the way home. A statement that A4 paper fits does not establish compatibility with your folder.

Days for a slim bag versus days with more to bring home

Briefcase L has a slim 34×5×26cm exterior. Consider it for selected papers arranged by client visit. With several thick files, check that there is still room to close the bag.

Tote C lists a laptop middle compartment and small-item pockets. Compare it when separating papers from accessories, but the number of compartments will not necessarily match your client visits.
